As a part of our Guest Lecture Series at #SKOPE, i.e., St. Kabir Open Platform for Entrepreneurs, an initiative by #SKIPS – top management colleges in ahmedabad, we had the privilege of interacting with #AbhishekJain, a filmmaker and founder of CineMan Productions Ltd. Abhishek Jain shared his thoughts about entrepreneurship and challenges. His charismatic personality was an instant connect with the audience. The pgdm students asked a lot of questions, and Abhishek enjoyed the conversation.
During our interaction, we came to know that at the age of 26, he received recognition as a Trend Setter of the Year 2012 by the Gujarat Innovation Society, “a felicitation initiated by the Government of Gujarat.” PGDM Students asked him about his marketing strategy of going from single screen theatres to multiplexes, and he tactically answered the question. His inclination towards learning was worth noting. Abhishek explained that conviction is the most important thing for any entrepreneur.
Abhishek’s conviction towards regional (Gujarati) cinema has already created a benchmark at the beginning of his journey with two path breaking feature films-# KeviRiteJaish & # BeyYaar-and both have set a milestone for the Gujarati Film Industry, with their theatrical runs of more than 100 days. He was awarded Best Director at the Big Entertainment Awards, # TransmediaAnnualAwards and Red Carpet Awards. During the session, we realised that, as an entrepreneur, Abhishek Jain has an innate understanding of the business of films, and as a filmmaker, he has distinct creative sensibilities. Together, his talents help him excel at merging the commercial market and imagination. During the session, he shared his journey as an entrepreneur. This entire event was well managed by the best management colleges in ahmedabad students.
